My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. A passage I have grown up hearing, knowing and reciting. Believing it to be true but not appreciating its truth and importance as much as I do now. As I reflect on the knowledge I have received as a student on the DPMUK young leaders (FIT) course, I recognise how much destruction has taken place in the lives of those who He created to love. I can testify that my life alone has been impacted, affecting my daily thought process' and actions.

One life change I have adopted is recognising the power of proclamation. Not only recognising that we have the power of life and death in the tongue but using it in an effective and powerful way - . transforming negative situations in to a positive experience, sometime instantly.

The course has enabled me to recognise where curses may be at work in the lives of my youth (as a youth leader) and other people I encounter (both Christian and non Christian). I am able to therefore pray fervently, attacking the route of the curse and not just the effects. The course has made me recognise the wealth of opportunities and benefits that salvation has made available to me that I would have missed if I had not known I could receive them.

As a result of the course I have a lot more biblical knowledge of practical life. I am more confident when ministering to people and it has caused me to fall deeply in love with the Word of God. A course I would gladly take again and recommend to anybody who wishes to grow in Christ.
