Dear Friend,   If the needs for discipling Christians in China were not so immense and urgent, I wouldn’t have to write this letter. If every new convert could easily get materials to help them understand God’s Word, I wouldn’t have to seek your gift for this DPM China Outreach appeal.   If every church leader in China could afford discipleship resources to help their congregations grow in faith, I wouldn’t ask you to be concerned about their ministries.   If every believer knew how to find biblical answers to deal with rejection, pain or hurt, I wouldn’t have to draw your attention to our latest plans for making more of Derek’s teaching available to Christians in China. The situation of Christians in China is not as it should be. Yes, thousands of people are coming to Christ every month. Yet, at the same time, there is a deep ignorance of the Bible. Even church leaders feel inadequate to meet the needs of their flocks.   Millions of Chinese Christians are longing for the kind of solid biblical insights that Derek Prince taught during his lifetime. That’s why here at DPM–China we are committed to make Derek’s teaching available to them.   But, before I tell you more about our plans for 2010, let me share with you a letter we received recently and part of a conversation I had with one of our team members who visited northern China.
