Recently one of our co-workers in China met a pastor who had spent over two decades leading a growing church in a very remote area. The community this pastor serves is mainly poor farmers and workers. For a long time they hardly had any Bibles, let alone other materials, to help them understand the Scriptures. But, they followed God faithfully—praying and worshiping together, ministering to each other and leading their friends and family members to Christ. Then, a short while ago, Derek Prince Ministries came on the scene through one of our DPM–China volunteers who took a small shipment of books to this church. The change in that Christian community was amazing! "God always cares for His children,” the church leader said. “Through a Christian brother from far away, He sent food from heaven to our fellowship to nourish us. We had never had such good spiritual books before. “Now we are using some of them as teaching materials at our Bible school and in different classes in our church. We couldn’t keep this good teaching only for ourselves, so we have sent some books to other preachers to bless them also. We’re so thankful! “Although we have just started to study Derek’s teaching, we can see that the church is experiencing a time of revival in the Spirit. Thank You, Jesus! “We also thank you for your hard work in translating and printing these books. We hope you will continue to help us who are poor in spirit." Every time I hear feedback from believers in China like this one, I realize why it is so important that we continue to supply the Chinese churches and believers with good Bible teaching. And why it is important that we take Derek’s teaching to remote towns and villages with your continued support. People like this pastor—and friends like you—are the real heroes in the fight against spiritual poverty.
